Yonex Astrox 22: a great badminton racket for the the intermediate player.
Often advanced players play with 3U rackets for a more solid feel and punch. They prefer rackets with a heavy head and stiff shaft, as they are able to generate lots of power and accuracy in their shots. With quick racket speed, they are able to maneuver the racket for maximum advantage. The Yonex Duora Zstrike is one such racket for an advanced player. Great if you are an advanced player, not so much if you are an intermediate player. He or she may not handle the heavier frame and generate the necessary racket swing speed to hit quick shots resulting in mishits and inaccurate shots. An intermediate player might still want a head heavy frame for superior power and a stiff shaft for control but may want a racket with a lighter feel. Enter Astrox 22, the lightest badminton frame yet from Yonex. Possessing the characteristics of an advanced level racket @68 gms, it provides the intermediate player an opportunity to play wristy shots with ease and precision. Strung with the proper string (our recommendation -BG 80 Power or BG 65 Ti), this racket generates excellent power with control. In summary, if you are looking for an advanced level racket with a lighter feel, this is the racket for you. On the other hand, if you prefer a more solid feel, you might want to consider the Astrox 88D, Astrox 99 or even the Duora ZStrike.
